To that end, our dentists are available to take your dental emergencies when they are needed. So, in any of the following events immediately contact our office requesting the services of dental emergencies :

1. If you have a toothache proceed to clean the sore area gently using a soft bristle toothbrush and floss. Rinse with warm salt water. Refrain from placing an aspirin on the gums or tooth, as this may cause a burn. Apply a cold compress to any facial swelling. Take a pain reliever and contact your dentist as soon as possible.

2. Faced with the loss of permanent teeth must immediately go on a date with nature of dental emergency, your dentist. It is critical to get the injured person and the tooth to the dentist within 30 minutes after the accident because, in this way may be possible to successfully reimplanted.

Jaw Fractures

A fractured jaw causes pain and usually changes the way the teeth fit together. Often, you can not open his mouth or is shifted to one side when opened or closed. Most jaw fractures occur in the mandible (jaw).

Fractures of the upper jaw (maxilla) may cause double vision (because the eye muscles are inserted near the jaw), numbness of the skin under the eye (due to nerve damage) or irregularity in the bone cheek can be seen passing the finger along it.

Some jaw fractures are not immobilized in the children, the initial treatment allows limited movement and resumed normal activity within a few weeks.

Antibiotics are usually given if a compound fracture, that is, one that extends through a tooth or the socket and open to a contaminated area as the mouth.


 

Tooth Loss
