There are times when surgery is the only answer and this is why people just need to go to the best Miami dental sedation centre in order to get things right. The process of sedation during a dental intervention is as important as the surgery itself and a good performed procedure will make it easier for the dentist and for the patient in equal parts for a long time.

The tooth ache is probably the worst pain in the world as it feels like a very annoying never ending issue that will make the hairs on your back raise. The technique of sedation needs to make sure that the patient feels comfortable with the whole procedure and everything needs to be explained beforehand. It is vital to know that the patient does not have any allergic predispositions to any of the medicine present in the sedation dose. If it is so, the sedation responsible needs to take immediate measures.

The accuracy of a dental procedure starts right from the first details and will make things easier with the right people next to you. The fear of it all will go away or at least it will diminish greater if you know what you are dealing with.

Dental aestheticsIn contemporary society, highly competitive and harmonious appearance often means the difference between success and failure, both personally and professionally. Due to the fact that the mouth is located in one of the focal points of the face, the smile is one of the main aspects involved in the concept of a harmonious appearance.

The dental treatment to restore teeth affected by caries, trauma to teeth too destroyed and has undergone significant changes over the past two decades. These transformations have been generated by the development of dental materials and adhesive system that improve the aesthetics to be free of metal.

Because of this, and to respect patients seeking a cosmetic treatment which achieves harmony and beauty, now used the metal-free restorations also offer wear resistance and durability. The main characteristics of these materials are their aesthetics, biocompatibility, optical properties, color stability and good mechanical strength, all based on proper diagnosis that contraindicate its use.

AESTHETIC RESTORATIONS

Among the restorations are several treatments that are important to know: Crowns and Veneers full porcelain, inlays and fillings in cerómeros resin for anterior and posterior “explains Dr. Maria Gutierrez of Dentistry Integra. The Crown: is a complete replacement artificially in the crown of the tooth, ie the part we see any tooth. is made ??of different materials are chosen depending on the diagnosis and treatment goals. Crowns are indicated when there is great loss of tooth structure , making it impossible to hold any filling or tooth fracture risk for the little remaining tooth.

“To carry out certain dental conditions and assess whether or not to root canal treatment, need to anchor within the alveolar canal (fiberglass bolts) or need any previous surgery on the gums,” said Dr. Jorge Bedoya of Integra Dentistry, who for the performance of Procera crowns â recommended the Nobel Biocare. In this system, the mold is taken to make the crown is scanned by computer and sent to the Nobel in Switzerland, where they do the inside of the crown, after the approval of the initial test calls for the completion of the full porcelain crown. The result is impeccable in the aesthetic and functional. Another treatment are cosmetic veneers.

These are the lining of the buccal surface of the tooth for some aesthetic material may be resin, or porcelain ceromer, usually used to restore anterior teeth that are affected in their integrity, alignment, color or shape. \ “For the success of facet is necessary that the piece has a relatively normal size, with sufficient quantity and thickness of enamel, the patient has good oral hygiene and possibly avoid habits such as bruxism, nail biting, biting, etc. objects. \ “said Dr. Gutierrez. The Porcelain veneers require making a mold that is sent to the laboratory where the veneers are made, leaving a temporary appointment and the following are tested and cemented. To attach the veneer to the tooth wear agent is cementitious adhesives resins or glass ionomer.

Other cosmetic restoration are The inlays, which are indirect fillings, ie is sent to a lab, what is required to take a mold. In the laboratory scale concoct the color chosen and the following quote is attached to the piece with adhesive luting agents. The process is slower and more expensive but more precise and durable. \ “Fouling in laboratory Artglass are resins containing 2/3 of filler and 1/3 of organic matrix and whose curing process is conducted through a heat treatment and absence of oxygen, which gives mechanical properties close to the tooth structure. have good aesthetic properties and durability \ “said the doctor of Dentistry Integra. Finally, in cosmetic restorations are The Composite Resin. These are materials that come in different color schemes to carry them out directly on the tooth, small and uniform layers, which are hardened with an LED light, which does not generate heat thereby avoiding postoperative sensitivity. Then polish and revise the bite, they bind to the tooth (enamel and dentin) via micro mechanical adhesion due to conditioning of the tooth surface.

Since the 60 composite resins have improved greatly in their characteristics retention, strength and aesthetics, making classified into several types according to their composition and indications. “An example of these in the resin of the Coltene Myres which is a light-curing composite, high fill microhybrid, radiopaque restorations that enables excellent esthetic meet the highest expectations, it is used before and after” Dr. Gutierrez said. What is called aesthetic dentistry?

Friday, April 20th, 2012

aesthetic dentistryThe cosmetic dentistry can include many types of treatments.
You could say that covers almost all special dentistry today.
Aesthetics is sought in form of the tooth, its position in the mouth, its color and shape, location and condition of the gingiva.
The tooth may be aesthetically perfect but if the gum around it is in terrible condition aesthetics is lost. So it is not enough to just observe the tooth but a whole in the oral cavity.
The dental aesthetic can be achieved with treatments such as orthodontics , restorations due to caries or tooth fractures, periodontal treatments (gum), crowns (caps), implants , surgery, whitening , etc.
In terms of materials and techniques that are today can achieve highly aesthetic treatments.

We discuss below the most requested aesthetic restorative treatments for patients:

Dental restorations (fillings or cures) and composite (resin or white shoes) art : Used when the partial destruction of the tooth (by caries or fractures) and takes place in a session at the dental office. The material is malleable (it has the consistency of putty) and the dentist is placing it in layers on restoring the tooth to the tooth shape and color. The material is hardened by irradiating a light of a specific wavelength (or halogen plasma arc) in the desired position.

Veneers : They can be of different composite materials zeromeros or porcelain. Are made ??when the tooth form or aesthetics naturally not when there is destruction of tooth decay or fractures, or when the color of the tooth can not be fully corrected with bleaching. The dentist removes a surface layer of the front of anterior teeth and takes an impression (mold). He commands the Dental Laboratory Technician who built one of the materials listed above and sends it to the dentist again. This is proved in the patient’s mouth and cemented (paste) to the tooth. Usually the total time is two to three sessions, depending on the complexity of the work.

Monday, April 16th, 2012

Teeth whiteningIt is considered, you can do teeth whitening, teeth that have darkened because of the years, coffee, tea or snuff. Range darkened teeth yellow, orange or brown, respond better to treatment. In other teeth, the shades of gray, which is due to obscuration or tatraciclinas fluorosis, the results are less spectacular.

If you have sensitive teeth, periodontal disease or a weak enamel, do not consider it a good candidate. While tooth whitening is usually successful in 90% of patients.

One thing to note is that the bleaching is not clear from the color of existing fillings and crowns, so that, after whitening replaced as necessary to match the new color of teeth.

We offer three methods of whitening:
The clinic, which takes place at home supervised by us.
Which is performed in the dental office.
And the combination of the previous two which based on our experience, is what yields better results.
In-home bleaching on the first date, is taken from the mouth to make individual splints which place the bleaching material. It is very important to follow exactly our recommendations for successful treatment.

Basically we work with two bleaching agents: hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide.

The concentrations used in dental surgeries are much higher than those available in pharmacies, home shopping, etc.. Hence its effectiveness, and the importance that these three types of treatments are supervised by qualified professionals’. (more…)

Cholesterol and Heart Health

Cholesterol and Heart HealthFirst, it helps to understand that cholesterol is a waxy, or greasy, which is found in every cell of your body and is used by the body to build new healthy cells as well as some vital hormones. So why is it bad? It’s bad only if their levels rise above normal. If you have high cholesterol levels, may be you develop fatty deposits (plaques where also deposited calcium) on the walls of your blood vessels, making it eventually to narrow and obstruct the blood circulation of the blood. And common sense, if the blood has trouble circulating, then the risk it takes to get to the heart, carrying oxygen, is higher, or may be covered completely and therefore increases the likelihood of a heart attack. And if cholesterol because less blood reaches your brain, you suffer a stroke (a stroke). Sometimes a piece of that cholesterol plaque off the wall of the vessel and travels through the blood to flow to cover later with the same consequences.

How can you tell if you have high cholesterol?
Because high blood cholesterol does not give any symptoms (no pain, etc..), The only way to know that is high is with a blood test. Ideally, begin to make the review after 20 years and then it every five years (or sooner if you have a strong family history you and your doctor advises). If you have more than 20 years, no matter! Go to your doctor to make the blood test and according to the results he or she will tell you how often you should repeat to the examination and also, if you do something to lower your levels. If your family has a history of high cholesterol and other risk factors like diabetes, your doctor will ask your blood tests more frequently.
Generally, cholesterol is highly treatable with a healthy diet, exercise and sometimes medication.

Cholesterol travels through your blood attached to proteins. This combination is called “lipoproteins” (something like fat plus protein) and then come the three types of cholesterol that your doctor may want you going to talk. For if so, do not sound like a “Chinese” as she says the doctor, here’s a brief overview that explains the types of cholesterol on the type of lipoprotein that carries cholesterol:

Low density lipoprotein (LDL by its initials in English): This is the “bad” cholesterol because it sticks to the walls of your arteries and makes them hard and narrow.

Very low density lipoprotein (VLDL by its initials in English): contains most of triglycerides, a type of fat that causes the particles of LDL or “bad” become large and consequently causes the blood vessels to become narrower.

High density lipoprotein (HDL by its initials in English) is known as “good” cholesterol because it picks up excess cholesterol and takes it back to the liver.

The cholesterol level depends in part of our heritage (which is not under our control) and partly from environmental factors such as what we eat and our physical activity (if they are under our control. To have a cholesterol level within limits normal or lower (and to reduce the LDL level) there are many things you can do that are under your control as playing sports or exercising, eating a balanced diet low in fat (especially saturated fat decreasing) and trying to maintain a healthy weight.

Sometimes, despite doing everything under our control total cholesterol and bad cholesterol (LDL) or triglycerides may be above normal levels and / or good cholesterol (HDL) may be lower than Normal increasing your risk of developing cardiovascular disease. In that case, your doctor may advise and recommend what else could you do to improve your levels including, if necessary, take drugs if you do, save millions of lives.

Now that you know what it’s about cholesterol, it’s time that you find out if your levels are within normal limits or not to take action.

What are triglycerides?

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012

vcholesterol triglycerides are two types of fat in your blood.
Triglycerides come from all the calories you eat and not used immediately. Your body stores them as an energy reserve for times when you’re not eating.

Cholesterol, however, is a waxy or oily substance found in every cell of your body and the body uses to build new cells and to produce hormones and coat the nerves.
The difference between them is very simple to understand … while cholesterol is a natural fat from your body used to form new cells, triglycerides are fat you eat with a meal and used for energy.
Despite their differences, cholesterol and triglycerides share much in common. Both are similar in that neither can be dissolved in the blood , and accumulate and circulate through your veins and your arteries with the help of proteins that transport lipids , called lipoproteins. So triglycerides are also known as very low density lipoproteins (something like “bad” cholesterol are low-density lipoprotein). And, as with cholesterol, when you eat more fat and calories than you need, triglycerides accumulate in your blood and increase your risk of heart disease. Why? Triglycerides tend to potentiate the effects of “bad” cholesterol, and contribute to the arteries to harden and thicken.

Triglycerides are measured in your blood, using the same test or lipid profile which analyzes your cholesterol levels. Ideally the test should be done when you are fasting for 12 hours. Ideally, your triglycerides are below 150 mg / dL. When they are between 150 and 199 mg / dl, the risk starts to develop problems. If they rise above 200 mg / dl and are considered to be high and very high as they approach the 500 mg / dl or more. The risk of cardiovascular disease are increasing among higher.

When your triglycerides are high, may be indicative of other conditions that also endanger your heart, such as obesity, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, hypothyroidism, and liver or kidney disease, among other problems. You can also have high triglycerides when you take medicines like birth control pills, beta-blockers, diuretics, steroids and the drug tamoxifen for breast cancer. Other reasons to consider them as part of caring for your heart.

The good news is that to lower them and control them, you need not do anything very different from what you already do to control your cholesterol, low fat diet while reducing calories, sugars, and alcohol and exercise regularly. If too high, your doctor may recommend a medicine. But you know, the drugs do not achieve anything unless you change your eating habits and lifestyle in general.

Now that you understand the difference, add to the list triglycerides care for your heart, are important.

How do we help the vitamin and mineral supplements?

PLEASE NOTE
There will be seen that there are extended-release supplements. “Tablets are designed to improve absorption of nutrients, because when these are taken with certain foods their absorption may be impaired and the body can not take advantage of 100%,” explains Chimpén. “They are like drops of water together in a capsule, to be releasing as the body processes them and can last up to 10 or 12 hours [...]. When you take a B complex or vitamin C, which are not prolonged deliberation, any excess is excreted in the urine, “says Ferrey.

Supplements are not extended release, if you take away meals, is also positive.

How To Compare Life Insurance Quotes Online

Tuesday, March 27th, 2012

There are two ways in which you can compare life insurance quotes online. One would be to visit the website of each insurance provider that you are interested in and request individual quotes which can then be compared. The easier and faster method would be to visit a website that allows you to enter your information just once and then presents you with a list of the rates offered by many major insurance providers.

The act of comparing insurance rates is one that many people do several times each year in order to determine if they could be paying less than they currently pay, or to seek a new policy and establish a specific type of insurance for the first time. Not all insurance companies will offer the same thing. However, major insurance companies can offer similar products, which leaves price as the deciding factor.

Once you view life insurance quotes online, you should easily be able to make a decision as to which company you wish to work with. If the rates are your main concern, quotes will prove invaluable. There certainly is no reason to pay too much for insurance when the rates of many companies are made available to you at all time. It will only take a few minutes to see what these are and make an accurate comparison.
